A Taste of the Good Life: Living on a Yacht in Athens Greece

I'm finally back after what feels like forever of exploring the world & soaking up incredible experiences! It's nice to be home after 5 weeks of traveling. But don’t worry, my wanderlust-filled soul isn't ready to retire just yet! 😉

During my time away, I basked in the sun & stayed on a yacht for a week around the beautiful islands near Athens, indulged in the phenomenal Basque cuisine in Northern Spain (I’m talking Michelin star quality) & enjoyed the vibrant Irish pub energy while sipping on a local cider in Dublin.

If staying on a yacht appeals to you, you might be wondering: how did I afford to stay/sleep/eat on a yacht for a week? I booked my week-long yacht adventure through @theyachtweek. In fact, this was my 2nd annual trip booked through TYW since my friends and I love it so much! It’s a fun & cheaper alternative to experience the yacht lifestyle, explore the islands of whichever destination you choose to book (ie. Croatia, Greece, etc) & witness some of the most breathtaking views & sunsets everyday for a week. For reference, you can enjoy TYW Athens Greece route for as little as $1,043 pp for the week (from their website). Additional expenses include flights, food/drinks, tip, yacht fuel, etc. I’m a planner & usually love to plan vacations. But sometimes, it’s nice to not have to plan an itinerary (or cook) and The Yacht Week does for you. (Hint: make sure to request for a “Host”! *chef’s kiss* 👩‍🍳😙) Now that I've described all the awesomeness of TYW, living on a yacht with up to 12 people means sharing tight spaces & bathrooms for a week. I think of it as glamping 😛

These pictures take me back to some of my favorite moments at TYW 2023 (Greece route). Of all my travels, I’ve shared some of my favorite core memories with my friends during The Yacht Week. We can’t wait to do it again!

Next, I’m excited to share with you one of my favorite goodies & tips to enjoy them with a budget-conscious mind. I can't wait to connect with you all!
